President of Aztec Solar elected to Solar Energy Industries Association Board of Directors

We are excited to announce that Ed Murray, president of Aztec Solar, was re-elected by the members of the Solar Energy Industries Association (Our PSEIA) to its board of directors.

Having been in the Sacramento solar industry for more than 35 years, Ed brings a wealth of experience to the SEIA, which works to promote, develop and implement the use of solar energy in the United States. Ed carries a California State solar license and is a NABCEP-certified solar thermal installer. He also sits on the NABCEP Board of Directors as well as the SRCC Standards Committee.

In addition, Ed is the current CALSEIA treasurer, chair of the Ethics Committee and a member of the technical committee of IAPMO 2012 Uniform Solar Energy Code. He actively influences both local and national solar policy, and is frequently called upon to testify at the California legislature, California Energy Commission and California Public Utility Commission.

The SEIA currently encompasses 150 national members and as of January 2013, it represents more than 1,000 companies from across the solar industry, from all technology and market segments. Installers, project developers, manufacturers, contractors, financiers, law firms and non-profits have all seen the value of joining the SEIA and participating in the future of the solar industry in the United States.

Through the work of the SEIA and its members, the solar industry has become one of the fastest-growing industries in the country.

Aztec Solar would once again like to congratulate Ed on his appointment. We’re confident that his role in the SEIA will continue to help advance solar power technology in the United States.
