Anheuser-Busch makes 100 percent commitment to solar

AB InBev (Anheuser-Busch) is taking beer to the next level.

The world’s largest brewer announced a 10-year agreement to purchase 100 percent renewable electricity in the form of solar energy that will be used to power its operations.

The company is making good on a promise. To celebrate World Environment Day in 2019, the maker of Budweiser and other favorites, made a commitment to 100 percent renewable energy by 2021 using a 2,000-acre solar energy facility.

The agreement represents the largest investment by Pan-European entities ever.

The company will adorn every can and bottle of beer with a new symbol to encourage consumers to also go solar.

If you are a business in the Sacramento region, you might want to consider adopting a similar energy strategy.
