Prepare for wildfire season by installing solar battery storage

We wanted to let our customers know that Governor Gavin Newsom has declared the solar industry “essential business” during the COVID-19 crisis.

The reason being is the state is preparing for fire season later this year. That is probably the last thing California residents want to think about right now, but it is important to be aware of how you can protect your energy source.

Having solar panels and solar battery storage allows homeowners and businesses to generate their own power and store it to use at night or during a power outage. Should California experience more power shutoffs later this year to mitigate wildfire risk, having the ability to use your own power will be extremely beneficial.

With mortgage rates dipping to extreme lows, many are refinancing to save money, and rolling the cost of installing solar and solar battery storage into their new loan. Additionally, if you install solar this year, you are eligible for a 26 percent federal solar tax credit.

In terms of COVID-19, here is what we are doing to protect our team and our customers:

  • We are conducting sales consultations through video conference.
  • Our installers have hand sanitizer in their trucks and are meeting customers outside of their homes, as well as keeping social distance measures in place to discuss service items and proposals.
  • In general, we are all practicing social distancing.

If you are interested in going solar today, we are currently offering $2,250 off of a new solar system with solar storage.
