Record number of U.S. solar installations in first quarter of 2019

The solar industry continues to hit thresholds that indicate its strength and support across the country.

Over the first three months of 2019, the U.S. installed a record (for a quarter) 2.7 gigawatts of solar panels. This information comes from the U.S. Solar Market Insight Report, which also predicted that solar will see a 25 percent growth rate in 2019. In May, solar installations reached the 2 million mark.

The largest piece of installations over the first quarter of 2019 came from utility PV. It also noted that 4.7 gigawatts of large-scale solar projects are currently in development.

So, as you can see, many companies and industries are beginning to take advantage of the benefits of solar power. If you own a business in the Sacramento region, you could be doing the same. And there are a variety of benefits to doing so: saving on your monthly electricity bill (potentially thousands of dollars every month); helping the environment; showing your employees and customers that you are environmentally friendly; utilizing the Solar Investment Tax Credit, which is good for a 30 percent deduction in 2019 (in 2020 it decreases to 26 percent); increasing your property value and more!

The Sacramento region is one of the sunniest places on the planet, so it is a prime location to go solar. At Aztec Solar, we have been helping companies across the area with their solar needs for nearly four decades. We can handle pretty much any large solar installation, whether that is commercial solar, multi-family solar or affordable housing solar.
