Aztec Solar is pleased to share some exciting news: For the third year in a row, our very own Ed Murray, CEO of Aztec Solar, has been elected as president of the California Solar and Storage Association (CALSSA).
Aztec Solar and CALSSA share the mission of promoting the widespread use of smart, local and clean energy technologies. Together, we are building a better energy future in communities across Northern California and beyond.
The solar industry is better positioned today thanks to the association’s steadfast advocacy before key stakeholders and state agencies and lobbying in the California State Legislature. CALSSA tackles the big issues — such as defending Net Energy Metering — so that solar energy services, technology and products remain accessible, affordable and central to our future.
We are proud that our CEO will continue to lead CALSSA to advance an ambitious agenda that meets the values we share within the solar industry family.
Since 1978, Ed has worked to preserve and develop the solar industry. He has been associated with CALSSA since 1984. In addition to his role as president of CALSSA, he is the chair of the Solar Heating and Cooling Division for SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) and serves on the Consumer Protection Committee, Election Committee and Federal Policy Committee. Ed is on the NABCEP board of directors and has been a board member of SEIA since 2011.
With Ed’s leadership, the solar industry can look forward to continued opportunities for collaboration and growth. Our vision is a shared one because we know the potential of solar energy, energy storage and energy management. It’s never been greater. We know that we can continue to empower consumers to take control of their energy consumption, drive positive activities that allow the economy to grow and provide a clear path forward to a brighter and cleaner planet for all.
Aztec Solar believes renewable energy is the future of this country. That is why as a company we support and promote the efforts of CALSSA. Aztec Solar is committed to meeting the energy needs of people across Northern California. Our service and products reflect this.
