- The U.S. market added 2,044 megawatts of solar PV (photovoltaics).
- Solar was the second-largest source of new electric energy.
- California remains a solar energy powerhouse for residential PV.
- Pricing for solar continues to drop across all markets.
- Forecasts show that installed solar PV is expected to triple over the next five years.
In addition, this is the sixth straight quarter in which more than two gigawatts of solar photovoltaics were installed.
